An Author Reading at Wild Detectives: “Practical Applications for the Multiverse Theory”

If you’ve set foot in a high school cafeteria, you know one thing: Cheerleaders and loners don’t mix. Well, except in the event of the apocalypse. That’s the premise of “Practical Applications for the Multiverse Theory” by Dallas comedians — and now authors — Nick Scott and Noa Gavin.

The sci-fi young-adult novel, their first literary collaboration, centers on seniors Scott and Davey, who are the first to suspect something is wrong at school (demon teachers and students bursting into flames were their subtle clues). They quickly discover that something is that multiple universes are collapsing in on the grounds of Carson High.

“Practical Applications” hits shelves Tuesday, and that evening at 7:30 p.m. Scott and Gavin will give a reading at The Wild Detectives, 314 W. 8th St. Admission is free. For more info, visit
