Live Performances, Educational Exhibits, and Even a Parade: Find It All at the Festival of Joy

Kalachandji’s, Sewell Lexus and American Airlines present the 3rd Annual Festival of Joy! Festival-goers will enjoy a parade, along with music, live performances, tons of food, and a splash of spiritual culture at Klyde Warren Park on Saturday, March 28th.

The Festival of Joy will begin at 11 AM with a ceremonial welcome and continue with a euphoric parade through the Arts District and return to Klyde Warren Park for festivities that will continue until 6 PM. The park’s main stage will feature non-stop Indian classical music and dance performances, and there will be a variety of cultural and educational exhibits, yoga, and meditation instruction, in addition to face painting, mehndi (henna tattoos), and even a free vegetarian feast.

The Festival of Joy has become a Dallas tradition marking the start of Spring and symbolizing the renewal of life. It draws thousands of families, young adults, and dignitaries, who all experience the colors, food, music, and interactive cultural exhibits, as well as the infectious joy as they sing, dance and immerse in an exotic cultural experience. The festival is non-sectarian, open to the public and free for everyone.

If you feel like escaping The Mitchell Lofts, the premier apartments in Dallas, Texas, for the day, this event is a perfect opportunity to do just that! Trust us when we say that there’s no harm in getting out and exploring the greater community.
